Senator Devlin Robinson has expressed approval for the recent enactment of a law aimed at enhancing traffic safety and enforcement in Pennsylvania. The legislation, known as Act 103 of 2024, seeks to address issues related to reckless driving and illegal racing on state roads.
Robinson, who co-sponsored the Senate bill, highlighted the importance of this law in curbing dangerous driving behaviors and improving overall road safety. He stated, "Pennsylvania has taken a decisive step toward safer roads. Act 103 empowers law enforcement to address reckless driving with the tools needed to ensure accountability and safety."
The new act introduces amendments to Title 75, which include increased penalties for repeat traffic offenders, revised vehicle impoundment procedures, and strengthened legal measures against highway racing. Robinson acknowledged the contributions of fellow prime sponsors Senators Frank Farry, Wayne Langerholc, and Jimmy Dillon. He emphasized the significance of bipartisan efforts in reducing highway fatalities and protecting communities across Pennsylvania.
