Looking for a place to dispose of your live tree after Christmas?
Beginning Dec. 26, the Allegheny County Park’s Department will hold its annual ‘Tree Recycling Program.’ The event will run through Jan. 14 and will be held at the South Park Wave Pool Parking Lot from 8 a.m. – dusk. All lights, decorations, tinsel, and stands must be removed prior to drop off.
Trees will be mulched and used in County parks. Last year, over 2,900 trees were received and recycled providing mulch throughout the park system’s 12,000+ acres.
