Canonsburg Borough to receive check for police merger with Houston Borough

Rep. Jason Ortitay is set to lead a check presentation in Canonsburg Borough aimed at facilitating the costs associated with a memorandum of understanding. This agreement will enable the Canonsburg police force to provide services to the neighboring Houston Borough. This initiative saw Rep. Ortitay collaborating with New Directions Mental Health to secure the necessary funding.

The event will have the presence of several notable figures including Drs. Ryan Wakim and Allison Bashe from New Directions Mental Health, Canonsburg Mayor David Rhome, Canonsburg Borough Council President Richard Russo, Houston Mayor James Stubenbordt, Houston Borough Council President Larry Scears, Vice President Nick Galbraith, councilman Jon Taylor, and Washington County commissioners Nick Sherman and Electra Janis.
