Ortitay comments on Shapiro's proposed state budget

Rep. Jason Ortitay of the 46th Legislative District in Pennsylvania has commented on Governor Josh Shapiro's 2024-25 budget proposal presented to a joint session of the General Assembly. In his statement, Ortitay emphasized the importance of collaboration over the next few months to ensure an effective and timely budget for Pennsylvania taxpayers.

"Today was an opportunity for Gov. Josh Shapiro to lay out his priorities for this budget year, which is due by June 30," Ortitay remarked. He expressed anticipation for the upcoming process involving hearings, legislation, and negotiations. "I look forward to working towards an on-time budget that works for the taxpayers of Pennsylvania."

The 46th Legislative District represented by Ortitay includes South Fayette Township and McDonald and Oakdale boroughs in Allegheny County, as well as several townships and boroughs in Washington County.
