Rep. Valerie Gaydos (R-Allegheny) has announced that the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority (PENNVEST) has awarded a low-interest loan of over $4.9 million to the Findlay Township Municipal Authority. The funding will be used to upgrade the wastewater treatment plant, ensuring continued efficiency and reliability for the community's wastewater system.

The project includes constructing a new building adjacent to the existing office and garage on the wastewater treatment plant property. This facility will provide additional office, locker, and garage space to support wastewater system operations. These improvements aim to maintain high service standards and environmental protection for Findlay Township residents.

“The PENNVEST loan is a substantial investment in our community's infrastructure,” said Gaydos. “Investments like these are vital for the sustained growth and development of our communities. By upgrading our facilities, we are ensuring that our wastewater system can continue to operate effectively and efficiently, safeguarding the health and well-being of our residents.”

Gaydos expressed gratitude to PENNVEST for recognizing the project's importance and providing financial support. “The Findlay Township Municipal Authority has been a provider of reliable wastewater services, and this upgrade will bolster their capabilities to meet future demands,” she stated. “I am committed to advocating for the resources and support necessary to ensure Findlay Township continues to thrive.”

Founded in 1988, PENNVEST provides grants and low-interest loans for designing, engineering, and constructing publicly and privately owned drinking water distribution and treatment facilities, as well as stormwater and wastewater projects.
