On Wednesday, March 5, former South Park Senior High School standout Austin Lafferty’s current college team, the Akron Zips, won 11-5 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Oakland Golden Grizzlies.
The game took place at Skeeles Field. This was their first matchup against the Golden Grizzlies this season.
The Zips’ next game is scheduled for Friday, March 7 at 2 p.m. at Skeeles Field against Eastern Michigan Eagles.
