On Sunday, April 13, former South Park Senior High School standout Austin Lafferty’s current college team, the Akron Zips, won 7-6 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Central Michigan Chippewas.

The game took place at Skeeles Field. This was their third matchup against the Chippewas this season.

The Zips’ next game is scheduled for Friday, April 18 at 11 a.m. at Ralph McKinzie Field at Walt and Janice Owens Park against Northern Illinois Huskies.
