Senator Devlin Robinson and Representatives Jason Ortitay, Andrew Kuzma, Valerie Gaydos, and Anita Astorino Kulik have announced over $1.67 million in grants for community development projects. The funding, approved by the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA), will support various initiatives aimed at enhancing infrastructure, safety, and quality of life.

Robinson stated that these projects are a "significant investment in our communities," reflecting collaboration among local leaders dedicated to regional improvement.

Oakdale Borough is set to receive $192,363 to stabilize the streambank along Clinton Avenue with riprap installation. Ortitay expressed satisfaction with this project aimed at reducing flooding risks in an area previously affected by severe weather conditions.

Jefferson Hills Borough Southeast Regional EMS has been granted $300,000 for 12 new power stretchers to improve emergency medical services. Kuzma emphasized that this grant would ease the workload of emergency responders and enhance patient care.

The Quaker Valley Council of Governments will use a $220,800 grant to upgrade its public works facility by replacing essential structural elements such as the garage roof and doors.

The Municipal Authority of the Township of Robinson has secured $300,000 for a waterline replacement along Route 60. Kulick highlighted the project's importance for improving water service reliability.

South Park Township will benefit from a $500,000 grant intended for energy-efficient LED lighting installations in Wilson Park to boost safety and sustainability.

The Imperial Volunteer Fire Department is slated to receive $500,000 for fire station expansion. Gaydos noted that providing resources to fire departments is crucial for maintaining public safety and accommodating growing operational needs.

Robinson summarized these initiatives as addressing diverse district needs like infrastructure improvements and environmental resilience.

The CFA operates under the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development since its establishment in 2004 to manage economic stimulus efforts.
