House GOP Policy Committee to discuss healthcare options for small businesses

State Rep. Valerie Gaydos | Pennsylvania 44th Legislative District

The House Republican Policy Committee, led by Chairman Joshua D. Kail (R-Beaver/Washington) and Rep. Valerie Gaydos (R-Allegheny), will convene a hearing titled “Healthcare Options for Small Businesses” in Allegheny County. The session aims to explore the workings of Association Health Plans, their benefits, and the regulatory framework required for effective implementation in Pennsylvania.

Participants include committee members and several testifiers: Emily Greene, Pennsylvania state director of Americans for Prosperity; Kurt Imhof, senior vice president of policy & public affairs at Life Sciences PA; Noah Karn, vice president of the Insurance Federation of Pennsylvania; Robert McCafferty, operator of North Country Brewing; Howison Schroeder, CEO and Co-Founder of Neuro-Innovators; and Eddie DeCaria, Co-Owner and Pharmacist at Porter’s Prescription Pharmacy.

The hearing is scheduled for Thursday, August 1, at 1:00 p.m., to be held at the Moon Township Municipal Building located at 1000 Beaver Grade Road, Moon Township, PA 15108. The event will be streamed online at PAGOPPolicy.com, subject to technical conditions.
