Enjoy fresh air and relaxation with Hannah Goforth, owner and art instructor with Go Explore Create art studio. Artists in all creative phases and of all abilities will experiment with new mediums and techniques on a weekly basis. This course includes watercolors and acrylics, in addition to mixed media and collage, as a way to express yourself as you take in the calming landscape of Fairview Park in South Fayette Township.

Schedule

Week 1: Watercolor Feathers & Doodles: Experiment with watercolor paint and a variety of ways to manipulate this simple medium with spark and imagination.

Week 2: Giant Gems: Explore value on a grandiose scale with this fun and unique way to create a larger than life acrylic gemstone painting to glam up any room.

Week 3: Mono-print Madness: Discover ways to utilize paints with printmaking and experimental techniques (hint: no brushes will be harmed and/or used in the course of this lesson).

Week 4: Free Form Expressionism: What would we look like as a squiggle or a color? Shapes and lines form to create a self-portrait that looks like anything but ourselves.
