Fall Open Houses

Transaction coordinator 34 orig

Baker Elementary School issued the following announcement on Sept. 14.

Fall Open Houses

Upper St. Clair School District will host fall Open Houses for each of our six schools. This year’s events will offer families both an in-person and virtual option. Open Houses are scheduled as follows:

  • Upper St. Clair High School: Sept. 23
  • Elementary: Sept. 29
  • Boyce Middle School: Sept. 30
  • Fort Couch Middle School: Oct. 7
Per the statewide mask mandate, all students, staff and visitors are required to wear a face mask while inside school buildings - including during Open House.

Recognizing that not all families are able to attend in-person, this year’s Open House will also include a virtual option. Teachers will be posting a video of the information that would typically be shared at the in-person event - along with any supporting materials - on Canvas. Videos will be available beginning the day of the respective Open House.

The Open House videos will be accessible via parent and student Canvas accounts. Kindergarten families will be receiving Canvas account information soon. Should you need assistance with your Canvas account, please contact Brad Wilson, Director of Strategic Initiatives, at bwilson@uscsd.k12.pa.us.

Throughout the last 18 months, the district has held numerous virtual parent meetings and experiences. In most cases, attendance/participation has increased significantly over the previous in-person events. By offering both - in-person and virtual - families have the flexibility to choose the option that best meets their needs.

Building principals will be sharing additional details and information as the respective Open House nears.
