Senator Devlin Robinson, who represents Pennsylvania’s 37th district, recently highlighted local events and national commemorations in a series of posts on his social media account.
On August 6, 2025, Robinson noted his participation in a community event by stating, “Last night, National Night Out was celebrated throughout the 37th district. I had a great time celebrating with the Franklin Park Police.” Later that day, he acknowledged another community gathering: “Congratulations to the Sewickley Borough Police Department of their inaugural National Night Out celebration! Great turnout and lots of fun! Thank you for your service to the community.”
The following morning, on August 7, 2025, Robinson shifted focus to military recognition. He posted: “Today we commemorate the Purple Heart, the oldest American military decoration for military merit. To all Purple Heart recipients, thank you for your service and sacrifice to our country.”
National Night Out is an annual event held across communities in the United States aimed at strengthening relationships between law enforcement and residents through neighborhood gatherings and activities. The Purple Heart is recognized as one of the nation’s oldest military awards, given to members of the armed forces who have been wounded or killed in action.
