Senator Devlin Robinson, who represents Pennsylvania’s 37th Senatorial District, highlighted recent community and legislative activities in a series of tweets posted on November 6 and 7, 2025.
On November 6, Robinson recognized local student achievement in the statewide school bus safety initiative. He wrote, “The 37th Senatorial District boasted FOUR finalists in @PennDOTNews 2025 School Bus Safety Poster Contest! Congratulations to Lipi and Arjun Kairi, and Akshay and Arya Subash on their impressive artwork that landed them top spots in their respective divisions of the competition.”
Later that day, Robinson shared details about a meeting with regional nonprofit leaders: “It was great to meet with representatives from @unitedwaySWPA in Harrisburg during session last week. We discussed the work they do with 211 to connect people in southwestern PA with community resources. 211 can help with food, utilities, housing, and other human service needs.” United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania operates the 211 helpline to provide residents access to essential services such as food assistance, utility support, housing options, and other social programs.
On November 7, Robinson encouraged constituents to participate in an ongoing survey regarding cellphone use policies in schools. He stated, “My survey is still open! Do you think school districts in PA should be required to create and implement a policy prohibiting student use of cellphones during the school day? Submit your response here:” The question reflects broader debates across Pennsylvania about balancing technology use with educational focus during school hours.
Robinson has been active on issues ranging from education policy to public resource accessibility within his district. The PennDOT School Bus Safety Poster Contest is an annual event encouraging students across Pennsylvania to promote transportation safety through art. The United Way’s 211 program is part of a national network connecting individuals to health and human services.
