Sen. Devlin Robinson (R-37) has announced that nearly $3.5 million in state funding has been approved through the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) for infrastructure projects in Allegheny County. The funding will support water, sewer, stormwater, and transportation improvements.
“These grants reflect a strong partnership between the state and our local communities,” Robinson said. “I will continue working to secure funding that supports smart infrastructure upgrades and keeps our region moving forward.”
Four projects were selected for funding through the PA Small Water and Sewer Program, which assists local governments with essential water supply, sanitary sewer, and stormwater system needs. Three additional projects received support from the Multimodal Transportation Fund, aimed at ensuring a safe and reliable transportation system for residents of Pennsylvania.
The CFA was created in 2004 as an independent agency within the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development to oversee economic stimulus initiatives.
