Senator Devlin Robinson is urging college students and those seeking career training in high-demand fields to apply for the Grow PA Scholarship Grant Program. This initiative, administered by the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA), offers grants up to $5,000 annually for in-state students pursuing degrees or certifications in critical occupations. Eligible fields include agriculture, computer science, business, education, special education, STEM education, engineering, nursing, allied health, and criminal justice.

Applicants must commit to living and working in Pennsylvania post-graduation for a duration equivalent to the years they receive the grant. Failure to fulfill this requirement will convert the grant into a repayable loan.

Applications for the 2025-26 program are now open and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. The Grow PA Scholarship Grant Program is part of Act 89 of 2024 under the Grow PA Post-Secondary Education and Career Preparation Plan. This plan also introduced the Grow PA Tuition Waiver Program and expanded the Ready to Succeed Scholarship Program.

The Grow PA Tuition Waiver Program allows eligible non-resident Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE) students to pay in-state tuition rates if they pursue in-demand occupations and meet residency requirements after graduation.

The Ready to Succeed Scholarship program assists high academic achievers with post-secondary education costs. A proposal by Senator Robinson raised household income limits from $126,000 to $175,000 and set a minimum GPA requirement of 2.5 for eligibility.
